Overview
A Meghalaya-and-Assam circuit: Shillong's waterfalls and lakes, Cherrapunji's living root bridges and canyon views, and a jeep safari in Kaziranga National Park for its one-horned rhinos.
This region moves slower than most domestic circuits — roads through Meghalaya are winding, and Kaziranga's safari timings are fixed by the forest department, not us. The itinerary is paced around those constraints rather than against them.
Day-Wise Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrive Guwahati, drive to Shillong
Fly into Guwahati and drive to Shillong (around 3 hours). Evening at Police Bazar and Ward's Lake.

- Day 2
Shillong waterfalls & Elephant Falls
Visit Elephant Falls, Shillong Peak, and Umiam Lake. Overnight in Shillong.
Meals: Breakfast, Dinner
- Day 3
Cherrapunji living root bridges
Day trip to Cherrapunji for the Nohkalikai Falls viewpoint and a moderate trek to the double-decker living root bridge (roughly 2–3 hours round trip on uneven steps).

Shillong to Kaziranga
Long drive to Kaziranga (around 6–7 hours). Evening at leisure near the park.

- Day 5
Kaziranga jeep safari
Morning jeep safari inside Kaziranga National Park (subject to forest department timings and permits) to spot the one-horned rhinoceros and local birdlife.

- Day 6
Kaziranga to Guwahati
Drive back to Guwahati (around 5–6 hours). Evening visit to Kamakhya Temple, on the hill above the city.

Departure
Transfer to Guwahati airport for your flight home.
